Talk: Lewis and Tolkien on the Beauty of the Gospel
Rev Fr Dr Michael Ward will be giving a talk on 'Lewis and Tolkien on the Beauty of the Gospel' on Sunday 14 May 2023, 4-5pm, at St Mary's Church, 4 Holly Walk, Hampstead, London NW3 6QU
Dr Ward is an English literary critic and theologian. His academic focus is theological imagination, especially in the writings of CS Lewis, JRR Tolkien and GK Chesterton. He is best known for his book Planet Narnia, in which he argues that CS Lewis structured The Chronicles of Narnia so as to embody and express the imagery of the seven heavens.
The talk promises to be a fascinating insight into the Gospel through the lens of CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien, from a renowned scholar.
