London: Aeolian Sinfonia to perform rarely-heard Tchaikovsky suite in charity concert

There's a chance to hear the Aeolian Sinfonia of North London when they perform Tchaikovsky's rarely heard Orchestral Suite No 3, Op 55 in their summer concert this Thursday, at Our Lady Help of Christians parish hall in Kentish Town.
Originally planned as a symphony, this huge and demanding four-movement work ends with a theme and twelve variations, culminating in a Polacca.
At the end of the concert they will play the traditional Polish Clarinet Polka in a new arrangement for Nick Charles and the orchestra by conductor Keith Bramich.
The concert is free, with a retiring collection for the parish charity SanKTus, which runs several projects for the homeless, elderly and refugees.
The concert takes place at 8pm in the Parish Centre, Our Lady Help of Christians Church, Kentish Town, London NW5 2XT. (Entrance from Falkland Road, near the corner with Lady Margaret Road.
