Carmelite Sisters make film on St Therese's Little Way of Love

As we celebrate St Thérèse of Lisieux's Feast, we recall that she was made a Doctor of the Church, which confirms that her teaching is universally helpful. Her teaching consists principally of her Little Way which she lived heroically in her own life and taught to her Novices. The Little Way consists in coming to God as our Father with the trusting confidence of a little child. No sense of our own sinfulness should keep us away since God is all merciful.
Thérèse teaches us to love our weaknesses, as it is these that give us a particular claim on God's help and His merciful love. She spent her life doing little things, in a hidden way, out of love, just to please Jesus. She called these little nothings 'acts'. Acts can be costly, but love doesn't count the cost… Thérèse teaches us humility. She realised she could do nothing of herself without God, so she united herself to Jesus and allowed Him to love, act, and forgive others through her.
The Carmelite Sisters of Dolgellau have made a film about Thérèse's Little Way of Love which can be viewed without adverts at www.carmel-dolgellau.uk/gallery (it is the first film if you scroll down).
