London: Call for volunteers to pack lifesaving survival kits

The nights are drawing in and it's getting colder. A desperate time for anyone living on the streets. Once again the St Vincent de Paul Society (SVP) is responding to this crisis by producing thousands of packs of essential items for rough sleepers.
This winter 12,000 Vinnie Packs will be distributed to homeless people in England and Wales. Each pack, costing £4.20, contains a thermal hat, socks, thermal gloves, toothpaste, toothbrush, face flannel , a pen, and information sheet.
Volunteers will be gathering at the SVP warehouse today, Sunday 5th November, from about 10.30am to 3.30pm at: Toureen, Mill Lane, Salford, Milton Keynes MK17 8AY.
