Open Day at London Catholic Worker
To celebrated the 90th anniversary of their foundation in New York , in 1933, London Catholic Worker will be holding an Open Day on Saturday , 16 December, at their house in 49 Mattison Road, Haringey, London, N4 1BG, United Kingdom
There will be a talk given by theologian Anna Blackman - and Martha Hennessy - granddaughter of Dorothy Day - on the past, present, and future of the movement, followed by a Q&A. There will then be an opportunity for informal discussion - with, hopefully, the clarification of thought! - followed by a free dinner, with live music.
Anna Blackman is a lecturer at the University of Glasgow with a focus on Catholic social teaching, and has done extensive research on the Catholic Worker.
Doors will open at 2pm, with the talk to start at 2:30 and dinner to be served at about 4pm. You can feel free to drop in or out any time before 7pm.
