London: Little Amal is marching for Palestine today
Little Amal - the 3.5 metre puppet of a nine-year-old Syrian refugee girl, who made the 8,000 km journey from the Syrian border to Manchester, in 2021 to highlight the plight of child refugees, will be joining the Seventh National March for Palestine in London today. She will be accompanied by a group of Palestinian children.
Hundreds of thousands are expected to take part in today's march in London. Millions more people will joining protests in cities around the world.
The Christian bloc will be gathering at 11.15am at the Poultry end of Old Jewry, EC2R 8NA
Look out for the Pax Christi, Anglican, Methodist, Quaker, National Justice and Peace Network Westminster Justice & Peace Columbans, Britain Passionists, Gwithian Joy, Living Stones of the Holy Land Trust, Justice and Peace Enfield, The Fellowship of Reconciliation, Anglican Pacifist Fellowship, Northern Friends Peace Board, Sisters of St, Joseph of Peace, Cambridge J&P, Group Abingdon Peace Group and many more Christian banners.
We will be marching to Parliament Square alongside Jewish, Muslim and secular peace groups, via Mansion House, past St Pauls Cathedral, down Fleet Street, Temple Station, along the Embankment then up to Trafalgar Square, down Whitehall to Parliament Square.
