Leicester: the Blessing of St Colette
The annual Blessing of Saint Colette will take place on Saturday, Saturday, 3 February, at 11 am, at St Edward the Confessor,
Aylestone Road, Aylestone, Leicester.
Colette is the patron saint of of those who long to conceive a child, of expectant mothers and of sick children. Her blessing is traditionally given with a fragment of the veil which she wrapped round a dead child who was restored to life. Like her sisters, St Colette spent her life, giving praise to God and interceding for humankind.
All are welcome to come and pray at this Franciscan family celebration. If you cannot come but would like your intentions to be prayed for feel free to email or text us.
