Summer holiday/family retreat in the beautiful Peak District at bargain price

Come and be part of a small community for a week. You can expect a warm welcome, conversations with like-minded people, a space to explore, and be refreshed in, your faith and a dedicated programme of activities for young people.

That's the invitation from Catholic People's Weeks who still have a few spaces left on their all-age week this August.

CPW (Catholic People's Weeks) welcomes all those looking to explore and live out their Christian faith, and provide an open, welcoming and non-judgemental space.

"As a couple we have found CPW like a spiritual breath of fresh air. More importantly, our kids love going! Masses at our parish are fairly traditional so it's been great for them to have a chance to get involved in some livelier liturgies, taking part in the music or acting the Gospel story. It's a safe space for all of us to explore our faith." says Louise, a mother of two teenage boys.

This year's theme is 'What are we doing at Mass?' We shall try to understand what is really going on at Mass, what our part is in that and what it means for how we interact with the world and the people around us.

Children and young people will explore this theme in their own way during sessions led by our trained young adult "helpers". Infants can be cared for in our creche.

On the week you'll find a sense of community that welcomes all - young and old, individuals and families; liturgies which engage everyone in sharing their gifts and talents, especially our youth; a chance to deepen and explore your faith in a supportive atmosphere and a chance to socialise over a drink, or take part in evening entertainment.

The venue is Thornbridge Outoors - an outdoor activity centre on the edge of the Peak District which is owned by Sheffield City Council.

August 4th - 11th. Each afternoon and Thursday daytime, will be free for you to chill out or explore the local area.

Adults £240 with new-comers discount Children £180 Pre-schoolers £120. So for a family of four this works out at £840 (or less) for the week, full board and including childcare.
