The Catholic Union's next 'Pub Talk' will take place on Monday 10 June, featuring Lord Glasman as the guest speaker.

In the run up to the next General Election, Lord Glasman will talk about what Catholic Social Teaching has to offer our politics.

This latest Pub Talk will take place in the upstairs room of the Windsor Castle pub in Victoria. Doors open at 6pm. More information and a link to sign up for the event can be found on the Catholic Union's website.

The Catholic Union's Pub Talks have proved a popular series of events since they were launched last year. They are informal gatherings, designed to give people the chance to hear from a person in public life on a subject of particular interest to Catholics.

Lord Glasman is a political theorist, academic, social commentator, and Labour life peer in the House of Lords. He is also the Director of the Common Good Foundation.

In 2019 Lord Glasman gave the Catholic Union's inaugural Craigmyle Lecture, our flagship annual lecture.

This is an informal event and spaces are limited. People are encouraged to book early to avoid disappointment.

Catholic Union Deputy Director, James Somerville-Meikle, commented: "I am delighted that we are able to host Lord Glasman for another Catholic Union event. His Craigmyle Lecture in 2019 on Catholic Social Teaching is still one of the best talks I have heard on what the teachings of the Church have to offer the world. With a General Election on the horizon, it is a good moment to revisit this topic and consider what Catholic Social Teaching has to offer our politics today. I look forward to seeing as many of our members and supporters as possible for should be a very interesting evening."
