Vote for the Laudamus Award 2024 for Sacred Art
There are just five days left to vote for the winner of the Laudamus Award 2024 for Sacred Art.
Fr Patrick van der Vorst writes:
The competition drew an overwhelming response, with over 1,200 submissions from 48 countries. I have been profoundly impressed with the submissions. The creativity, craftsmanship, and spiritual depth exhibited in each piece have been truly inspiring. Both professional and amateur artists have not only demonstrated exceptional technical skill but have also succeeded in capturing the essence of our Christian faith.
Our panel of judges has meticulously reviewed all the artworks. Through thoughtful and careful deliberation, we have narrowed down this remarkable collection to the top ten best works.
Now, we are excited to present these exceptional pieces to you, our readers, and invite you to vote on the winner. Your input will help determine which artwork best captures the spirit and beauty of our Christian art tradition. You can vote from now until 15th June.
Visit this link: https://christian.art/art-competition-finalists/ to see the ten finalists. Then cast your votes for up to three pieces that resonate most deeply with you. Please note, each artwork can only receive one vote from an individual.
Your participation in voting will determine which artist will claim the grand prize of £25,000, generously sponsored by our benefactor John Studzinski. By casting your vote, you will help determine the artwork that best embodies the spirit of contemporary sacred art. Feel free to forward the link to this page to your friends and family to get them voting too. Maybe it is a nice way of involving them in celebrating contemporary Christian art.
I deeply appreciate your involvement and look forward to seeing which of these talented artists will be celebrated as the winner.
