London and Leeds: Christians praying and marching for Palestine
Ahead of the latest national peace demonstration in London, the Christian Bloc will be gathering for prayers in Mount Street Gardens W1K 2TH, this Saturday 3 August at 12.15. Prayers will begin at 12.30. We will join the main march at 1pm.
After nine months of genocide, with a possible 186,000 lives lost (according to the Lancet) - every one of them someone's child, mother, sister, brother, friend - the ICJ ruled that Israel is guilty of genocide, apartheid and illegal occupation in Palestine. Yet Netanyahu is still at large, and UK's new Labour government continues to support the regime and supply it with weapons of death.
Marchers will be demanding an immediate, permanent ceasefire; an end to apartheid and occupation and calling for the UK government stop arming Israel.
LEEDS
For those who can't make to to London, Christians will also be gathering outside Leeds Cathedral in Cookridge Street, LS2 8BE at 12.45.
