Clifton Diocese seeks Religious Education adviser (Secondary phase)
Clifton Diocese is one of the Catholic Dioceses in the West of England. Our administrative offices are based in Bristol and support the pastoral needs of the Catholic community across eight local authorities, including Gloucestershire, Somerset, Wiltshire, Swindon, Bath & North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire, North Somerset and Bristol.
The Schools & Colleges team support our 64 schools across this wide area, ensuring that they uphold Bishop Bosco's vision of delivering the best quality education in partnership with one another.
We are seeking to expand our team, by appointing a part time colleague, to support the RE Lead in securing high-quality Catholic education across the Diocese that ensures and supports the preservation of Catholic Schools, with a particular focus on Secondary Religious Education.
The post is for 2 days per week, 39 weeks per year.
The successful applicant will have recent and relevant experience of teaching and/or advising in RE in the secondary phase (and preferably post 16) with a willingness to contribute to the Primary work of the Diocesan team.
You will need to offer RE advice, training and consultancy to schools, Single academy trusts, and our three Multi academy trusts.
The successful applicant will be knowledgeable about the new Religious Education Directory, the Prayer & Liturgy Directory, and experience as a CSI inspector would be an advantage.
You need to be confident in designing and delivering training, as well as conducting accurate reviews of schools.
The role will be based at Alexander House, Bristol, but will require extensive travel around the Diocese, as well as well as some evening work.
The salary is £43,500 - £46,500 pro rata:
