London Catholic Worker hosts The Priest's Tale
Actor/playwright Michael Mears performs The Priest's Tale, the moving story of the German priest who survived the first atomic bomb, on 11 September at 7.30pm in St Augustine's church, London, N4 1BG, hosted by the London Catholic Worker.
Fr Wilhelm Kleinsorge was a German Jesuit priest living in Hiroshima, who survived the blast but witnessed much of the destruction. Based on Fr Wilhelm's first-hand account, The Priest's Tale is a clear-eyed depiction of the terror wrought at the start of our nuclear age…told with compassion, warmth and flashes of humour.
