London: Farm Street film club hosts The Letter
The Tim Hetherington Film Club at Farm Street parish in Mayfair, presents 'The Letter - a message for our Earth' on Thursday, 26 September at 6.30pm for 7pm.
This film, which has been endorsed by Leonardo DiCaprio and Arnold Schwarzenegger among others, tells the story of a journey to Rome of frontline leaders to discuss the encyclical letter Laudato Si' with Pope Francis.
Colette Joyce from Westminster Justice and Peace, who is leading the diocese 'Season of Creation' initiatives, will introduce the evening.
The organisers say: "Exclusive dialogue with the Pope is included in the film offering a revealing insight into the personal history of Pope Francis and stories never seen since he became the Bishop of Rome. We hope viewers find the film interesting and stay after the showing to talk about the issues raised.
"In support of the Southwark Diocese Justice, Peace and Integrity of Creation Commission, we are showing this important film revolving around Laudato Si'."
