Radio Maria expands into Peterborough, Norwich and King's Lynn on DAB+
Radio Maria, one of the fastest-growing Christian radio stations in the England, has announced its expansion into three new DAB+ regions: Peterborough, Norwich and King's Lynn. This exciting development brings the station's popular and inspiring Christian programming to even more listeners across East Anglia, solidifying Radio Maria's presence as a trusted voice of faith in the UK.
Since its launch five years ago, Radio Maria has captivated listeners with a diverse range of content, from prayer and worship to thought-provoking discussions, live broadcasts of the Mass and spiritual teachings. Now, with its expansion into these new areas, even more people in Peterborough, Norwich and King's Lynn can tune in and connect with the station's uplifting messages.
This expansion also enhances Radio Maria's already impressive digital reach. In addition to these new regions, the station is available on DAB+ in London, Cambridge, Bristol, South Birmingham, Stockport and Greater Manchester. Listeners nationwide can also access Radio Maria via the Radio Maria Play App, online streaming through the station's website, and smart speakers like Alexa and Google Home, ensuring they can stay connected no matter where they are.
The expansion coincides with a major milestone for Radio Maria - its fifth anniversary in England.
To mark this joyous occasion, the station will host a Mass of Thanksgiving at St John the Baptist Cathedral in Norwich on Wednesday 23rd October at 10am. The Mass will be celebrated by Bishop Peter Collins, Bishop of the Diocese of East Anglia, alongside Fr Toby Lees OP, Priest Director of Radio Maria in England. Everyone is warmly invited to join in this momentous celebration, reflecting on five years of success and the station's continued mission to serve the Christian community.
Radio Maria's growth is thanks in large part to the incredible support of its listeners. This expansion follows the overwhelming success of the station's recent Mariathon Fundraising Event, which raised over £40,000. The funds will help ensure Radio Maria continues to produce engaging content and reach even more people across the country.
Listeners and volunteers who participated in the Mariathon shared their personal stories about how Radio Maria has touched their lives - strengthening their faith, offering comfort during tough times, and fostering a sense of connection and community. Their heartfelt testimonies are a testament to the station's impact and the vital role it plays in the lives of so many across the country.
Pierre Petrou, Head of Operations for Radio Maria in England said: "The expansion into these areas is a significant milestone for Radio Maria in this country.
