London: Irish Chaplaincy Service of Remembrance

The Irish Chaplaincy is preparing for its annual Service of Remembrance for family and friends of seniors, prisoners and supporters who have died in the past year. The service, held on 8 November at 2pm in St Patrick's Chapel in Westminster Cathedral, will include prayers and reading of the names of those who have died.
Bishop Paul McAleenan, originally from Belfast and lead Bishop for Migrants and Refugees and Racial Justice, will participate and as an Irish language speaker will offer prayers and a blessing in Irish.
The Chaplaincy welcomes all who wish to join. One participant last year wrote: "I came last year and found it a great comfort as my husband died in 2023.I would like to come again this year."
The Irish Embassy, Council of Irish County Associations London (CICA) and Caritas Westminster will be represented at the service.
Tea and coffee will be served afterwards. Please let the organisers know by 1 November if you planning to come.
