Watch: Is the Assisted Suicide Bill about Compassion, Giving Choice and Dignity?
The purpose of Kim Leadbetter's Bill, 'Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life Bill)' is to allow adults who are terminally ill, subject to safeguards and protections, to request and be provided with assistance to end their own life, and for connected purposes. The Second reading of the Bill is due to take place tomorrow, Friday 29 November.
A team of experts examined this Bill from very different perspectives in this panel discussion held at Farm Street Church on Sunday.
The expert panellists were: Baroness Tanni Grey-Thompson DBE DL, multi gold medal winning paralympic athlete and advocate for disability rights; Dr Matthew Doré, Consultant Palliative Care Physician; Professor Julian Hughes, Former Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist and Professor David Albert Jones, Professor of Bioethics.

There is just one to urge your MP to vote against this bill. As veteran MP Sir Bernard Jenkin said on Newsnight last night:
"If you're still doubtful, you have to vote against, because once you've crossed this Rubicon... it's a very, very big decision."
