Bookings have opened for the 2025 Catholic People's Weeks. Themes include: 'The stories that shape us', 'Where is God in the Climate Crisis?,' and a Walking Week in Northumbria, which includes staying at Ministeracres and visiting Lindisfarne.
The first, an adults-only event, will be held at Noddfa in North Wales 12-16 May. It will explore the richness of different Mass settings and what they can add to liturgies through pieces ranging from 'The Armed Man' by Karl Jenkins and Benjamin Britten's 'War Requiem' to a traditional Gregorian Mass and an African Mass.
This year, CPW looks forward to celebrating its 80th Birthday (1945 - 2025). Boar's Hill, the Carmelite Priory in Oxford, will host a weekend 25-27 July with a special Celebration Day on Saturday 26 July. All ages are welcome and participants can attend for the Saturday only. The guest speaker will be John Bell of the Iona Community.
CPW's mission is "to revitalise the heart, mind and spirit of Catholic people today". From weekends to week-long holidays, events aim to nourish faith, ignite the intellect, inspire social action, invite creativity, and build friendships.
