Catherine Robinson from Right to Life writes: In just a few weeks, the Scottish Parliament will hold its Stage One vote on Liam McArthur's assisted suicide Bill. The vote is expected to take place in mid-May.

This Bill is even more extreme than the Bill in Westminster.

There is no requirement that the person seeking the assisted suicide is expected to die within six months (someone could qualify even if they are expected to live for a further two years or even two decades).

The Scottish bill would legalise assisted suicide for teenagers aged as young as 16.

As part of their ongoing work opposing Liam McArthur's Bill, Right to Life UK have just launched their Support Not Suicide Scotland campaign - a new campaign in Scotland focused solely on defeating this Bill.

If you are based outside Scotland, please forward this email now to any friends or family you know in Scotland - and encourage them to urgently contact their MSPs.

Scottish readers are invited to emailing MSPs using the easy-to-use tool, asking them to vote against the Bill.

After you've contacted your MSPs, if you have a moment, please take one more important step: encourage like-minded friends and family in Scotland to do the same. Simply forward this email to them so they can take action too. Every email counts!
